Reimagining Medicine from the Ground Up
AesthetiKa was founded on the belief that medicine can and should be better.
The vision for AesthetiKa Wellness and Med Spa was born in the high-pressure environment of Urgent Care. As licensed Physician Assistants, Kim and Karolyn met while navigating the front lines of the Covid pandemic. While they were trained to treat acute illness and save lives, they quickly recognized that the traditional system was failing patients in a different way: it had become purely reactionary.
They saw a system where providers were under-resourced, leadership prioritized volume over value, and patients (particularly women) were left with one-size-fits-all solutions for complex issues like hormonal shifts, metabolic health, and aging. They watched as patients were dismissed or told their labs were “normal” while they clearly did not feel like themselves.
The Turning Point
Disillusioned with the constraints of traditional healthcare, Kim and Karolyn asked a simple question:
What if medicine could be practiced differently?
They realized there was a massive gap in supportive, proactive care. They committed themselves to continual learning attending conferences and studying the latest research in functional medicine, bioidentical hormone therapy, and medical weight loss.
While the “K” in AesthetiKa represents the partnership between Kim and Karolyn, the foundation of the practice remains a dedicated commitment to Precision Medicine.They built this space to be everything the traditional healthcare system isn’t: patient-centered, evidence-based, holistic, and a clinical environment where patients actually enjoy receiving care.

By integrating nutrition guidance and behavior-based support with medical treatments like hormone optimization and peptide therapy, AesthetiKa makes health progress sustainable and realistic.

While AesthetiKa does not accept insurance, we prioritize financial flexibility. Patients are welcome to use HSA (Health Savings Accounts) or FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts) for all eligible wellness consultations and functional lab testing.
Virtual Care & Telehealth:
We offer fully HIPAA-compliant virtual consultations and follow-up visits. For our Wellness Bank members, this includes access to acute care telemedicine, making it easier to address immediate health concerns from the comfort of your home.
Direct Communication:
We believe in continuous support. Between visits, patients can easily reach the clinical team through our secure patient portal messaging, text, or phone.
